SYNTAX    xVE, where x - controller address (axis number). Default number = 1.
PARAMETER none.
DESCRIPTION This command is used to read the controller type and version.
Important information that is required when asking for help with the motion control system or when reporting a problem includes version of the controller. Use this command to determine the controller type and, in particular, the firmware version. Also shows the current mode.
Note: In service mode, controller responds to VE command with zero controller number (0VE). The case can be useful to get controller response, if both:  the preset controller number (NM command) and the preset serial communication rate (SE command) are lost. The 0VE command eliminates the necessity to know the controller number, and service mode eliminates password restrictions, if the controller was locked with LC command. Then the only unknown parameter (serial communication rate) can be found using 0VE command at 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 rates. See Operating modes how to switch manually into service mode.
