xAGy Enable/disable autogearing mode. y = 1 - set autogearing, y = 0 - manual gear control - Yes Yes

SYNTAX    xAGy, where x - controller (axis) number.
PARAMETER y [number]   0 - manual gearing, 1- auto gearing.
Range 0,1.
DESCRIPTION: This command enables/disables autogearing mode. Trapezoidal speed profile should be preset by TP command before autogearing (xAG1 command) is used. The electronic autogearing is a self-action mechanism (as in car), and it depends on velocity. Using trapezoidal speed, profile manual gearing gives the stepper motor speed maximum range from 1...2000 microsteps/second (1 micro step = 1/8 stepper motor step) at the finest resolution of 1 micro step, while autogearing covers all 1...8000 range. See MM command for manual gearing.
Note: Autogearing (AG command) combines both best features: the finest resolution (1/8 of motor step) and high speed.
Example: if stepper motor has 200 full steps/revolution, the actual maximum motor rotor rotation rate is about 5Hz (or 5 revolutions/second). Positioning resolution remains 1 micro step. Gear mode can be tested (read) by xGP6 command.
